- Question and Answer.
-
- Q : What are Infinity Texture's system requirements:
- A : I-Tex requires
- -486, Pentium(r) or better processor
- -16 MB of RAM (more recommended for large textures)
- -High- or Truecolor Desktop at 800x600 or higher
- -Win 95/98 or WinNT 4.0+
- -HDD and Mouse
-
- Q : I just got I-Tex and cannot create such interesting textures like those
- of the examples. What's wrong?
- A : I-Tex is a very powerful and complex application. Most functions and
- possibilities are completely new and have an unusual way to be accessed,
- because it's new technology. You will have to learn the way the program
- works, but if you are experienced enough you will realize that some things
- can be accessed faster and more effectively than in any other programs.
- Believe me, I-Tex has a well thought out interface which allows you to
- create great textures also without being a professional artist.
-
-
- Q : Are large fonts supported ?
- A : Large fonts are supported by forcing the application to use
- small fonts. However a small fonts screen is recommended.
-
-
- Q : I-Tex is crashing on startup.
- A : OpenGL(r) has to be installed on your system. If you have problems with
- OpenGL you should add the parameter "-disableGL" when launching the
- program. The color cube will be disabled.
-
-
- Q : I see strange symbols instead of written words, what's wrong ?
- A : You probably don't have the correct fonts installed.
- Required fonts are :
- -MS Sanf Serif
- -Small Fonts
- -Arial (only if running on large fonts)
-
-
- Q : I don't see any icons in the Tool-Treeview, what's wrong ?
- A : You have an old version of the COMCTL32.DLL, which doesn't support
- the way I-Tex handles the icons. Try to get version 4.71 or higher
- (for example included in Microsoft Internet Exlorer(tm)).
- This problem should be solved in the final 1.0.
-
-
- Q : I-Tex is crashing when I want to make large textures.
- A : There aren't enough system resources free. Close every unneeded program
- and/or upgrade for computer's memory. I-Tex takes full advantage of a
- powerful system and provides many features like a lot of undo buffers
- instead of letting your resources lie fallow.
-
-
- Q : Why runs I-Tex so slow on my system.
- A : I-Tex was designed on a PII with 128MB and speedups will be a task for
- later versions. However I-Tex should run well on a standard Pentium if
- you only create small textures (<=256x256 pixels).
-
-
- Q : Can I sell the textures made with I-Tex ?
- A : Only registered users are allowed to use the textures made with I-Tex in
- commercial and/or profit-making products.
-
-
- Q : How do i uninstall I-Tex.
- A : I-Tex doesn't perform any changes to your system's registry nor to
- INI-files. Just delete the I-Tex folder and its icon.
-
-
- Q : The tool-windows disappear when i have them externalized and hide I-Tex.
- A : Just internalize them and then externalize them again (windows menu).
